Fall and Winter at the Museum
Fall and Winter Updates at the Hoover-Minthorn House Museum
By Amaya Eckersley, Director
With the wet weather sweeping in, there’s no better time to visit the Hoover-Minthorn House Museum! Come take a break from the cold and rain and enjoy a guided tour packed with local Newberg history.
There will not be a Harvest Festival this fall. Instead, we’ll be hosting a “Vintage Christmas” on Friday, December 19. The event will have an 18th century focus, including activities such as garland, ornament, and tree topper making. We will also have a small book, bake, and media sale which will include books from the museum and other genres, festive holiday treats, and records.

The museum will close for the winter this year from Saturday, December 20 through Wednesday, January 28, 2026. For inquiries during this time, feel free to use our website contact form.

Early 2026, we will announce a new exhibit in our “Little House” exhibit space, which currently holds a Lou Henry Hoover exhibit that is open to the public during special occasions and events. We are also excited to offer a series of monthly educational children’s activities beginning in January 2026. Stay tuned for those announcements and when they are placed on our event calendar!
